Thought Leader Liaison, US Metabolics, East

Join us at AstraZeneca's Alexion as a Thought Leader Liaison, US Metabolics (TLL). This senior field-based position within the US commercial organization focuses on commercial KOL relationship engagement, promotional speaker development, attendance to key conferences, support the execution of promotional HCP programs, partnership with the diagnostics team, and aiding in the execution of non-personal promotion initiatives. This role is dedicated to Hypophosphatasia and reports to the Director of TLLs as part of the US Metabolics Marketing team.

Accountabilities:

As a TLL, you will partner with marketing and medical teams to identify physician speakers to deliver approved MLR promotional slide decks. You will develop physician speakers to provide high-quality promotional education and supervise speaker performance at programs. You will also implement physician engagement activities in the field and key congresses, implement non-personal promotion initiatives demonstrating data, and work with cross-functional teams to provide key customer insights and input on strategy, tactics, messaging, and program execution.

Essential Skills/Experience:

7 years’ work experience in academia, medical or bio/pharmaExperience in a combination of one or more of the following areas: product marketing, field sales, clinical, nurse practitioner or thought leader engagementSolid understanding of Thought Leader engagement practicesClinical, technical, and scientific knowledge and competence in sophisticated disease statesDemonstrated ability to complete strategic and tactical plans under short timelinesProven ability to lead large geographical territoryValid driver’s license and clean driving recordWillingness to travel >50% of the time including considerable overnight and weekend travel

Desirable Skills/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant fieldGraduate degree (MSc, MSN, MBA)Prior experience and/or relationships within the Metabolics areaPrior experience in Marketing or thought leader engagement preferred
