Position: Threat Assessment Consultant
Location: Advocate Support Center; Oak Brook, IL.
~Must have ability to travel to other AAH sites as needed.
Full Time; Day Shift, typically Mon.-Fri.
~Some after hours or weekends based on an emergent business need.
Major Responsibilities:
Align and drive efforts to achieve desired results on program success measures with a focus on reducing incidents of workplace violence, injuries stemming from those incidents, and the severity of injuries that do occur.Serve as a consultant and operational contributor to site-level Workplace Violence Prevention Committees, contributing to granular, criteria-based, prioritized, and dynamic case management.Conduct behavioral threat assessments using proven and repeatable methodologies – sometimes on compressed timelines.Serve as a consultant to HR Business Partners and as an operational contributor to plans that mitigate at-risk transactions and contribute to the safety and well-being of team members with restraining or protective orders.Serve as a resource to investigative and mitigation teams. Contribute to executive and personal protection planning for team members who may have unique risks to their safety and well-being, to potentially include safely interacting with those expressing threats to establish healthy boundaries.Provide guidance to analytic teams to drive specific supporting information which informs workplace violence prevention strategies. Merge statistical data on incidents with after action reports, root cause analysis, and field observations to gain a clear understanding of the risk environment to formulate effective and culturally aligned mitigation strategies & tactics. Identify trends, draw conclusions from curated data, and make recommendations for effective mitigation and continuous program & process improvements.Make recommendations to decision-makers on preventive, deterrent or corrective measures that could be taken to counter indicators trending unfavorably. Create reports to communicate the status of initiatives and outcomes.Contribute to policies and procedures related to workplace violence prevention.In partnership with other team members, organize and deliver training on each of the 8 domains of a workplace violence prevention program, to include both virtual and in-person scenario-based instruction, drills, and exercises.Liaise with third-party partners to assess, mitigate, and resolve higher-order, complex, or long-standing cases. Maintain current knowledge of and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, methods, and best practices.
