Threat Intelligence Specialist
Join our Team About this opportunity

Do you love being a champion and advocating for breaking down complex cybersecurity concepts and threats in a way that is accessible to non-security professionals, including developers, product managers, and business leaders? We are committed to ensuring the security and privacy of our customers' data and that is at the forefront of our service. We are looking for a Threat Intelligence Specialist to help us maintain the highest security standards across our service offering.

We are launching an exciting DevOps initiative that aims to overhaul the way we deliver solutions, using As-a-Service on public Hyper Cloud Providers (HCP) as our vehicle. Our goal is twofold: To thrill our customers by delivering services they love and giving them a competitive edge, while building a “lean and mean” product development organization which will allow Ericsson to scale at profit.

You will be challenged, but you won’t be alone. You will be joining a team of diverse innovators, all driven to go beyond the status quo to craft what comes next.

If you're passionate about fostering modern security practices into product development paradigms, driving change, shaping cutting-edge technology to deliver customer value, and you get a kick about building something entirely new, we want you on board!

Why join Solution Area Sapper

Ericsson Cloud Software & Services (BCSS) continues to evolve cloud native portfolio as well as explores new ways of building solutions, including enabling cloud native “as a Service” offerings. Newly established Sapper unit will ensure BCSS readiness for “as a Service” when our customers start shifting towards new networks operations models that could truly leverage the opportunities and agility cloud native deployment brings. We have chosen less traditional name for our newly acceleration unit to signal that this unit will operate differently. The name Sapper originates from a soldier that performs challenging tasks that require engineering skills, a pioneer with deep technical understanding.

With us, you will have an outstanding opportunity: The chance to use your skills and imagination to push the boundaries of what is possible. To build never seen before solutions to some of the world’s toughest problems.

We are building a dream team, and this is what we are after:

· Endless possibilities. Your ideas and innovations won’t just be heard – they’ll be the driving force behind our success.

What you will do

You will lead the way. As a Threat Intelligence Specialist you will be part of a security team and you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and communicating cyber threats that could impact our services. You will monitor and assess various threat intelligence feeds, conduct in-depth analysis of potential security threats, and provide actionable insights to help enhance our security posture. Your role is crucial in enabling proactive defense strategies and ensuring that Sapper stays ahead of emerging threats.

· Continuously monitor threat intelligence feeds, cybersecurity news, and dark web sources to identify emerging threats relevant to the organization.

· Analyze and interpret data from various sources to understand the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) of potential attackers.

· Collaborate with the SRE team to provide context and insights during security incidents, helping to identify the threat actors and potential impacts.

· Produce detailed threat intelligence reports, including risk assessments and recommendations for mitigating threats.

· Develop profiles of cyber threat actors, including their motivations, capabilities, and the specific threats they pose to the organization.

· Provide actionable recommendations based on threat intelligence to improve security controls, policies, and procedures.

· Work closely with other security teams, such as the SRE, other Ericsson Red Team, and Vulnerability Management, to ensure threat intelligence is integrated into our processes.

· Utilize and enhance threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) and automation tools to streamline the collection, analysis, and dissemination of threat data.

· Educate and inform stakeholders across the organization about emerging threats and how to defend against them through presentations, briefings, and written communications.
· Provide guidance and training to Dev(Sec)Ops teams on security best practices.

· Evaluate and recommend security tools, technologies, and services to enhance the security posture of the service offering.

What you bring

· Proven experience as a Threat Intelligence Specialist, preferably in cloud-native Dev(Sec)Ops environments.

· Strong understanding of cyber threat landscapes, including knowledge of advanced persistent threats (APTs), malware, phishing, and other attack vectors.

· Experience working with threat intelligence platforms and analyzing threat data.

· Proficiency in analyzing TTPs and using frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.

· Experience with tools such as SIEMs, TIPs, and network traffic analysis tools.

· Experience with cloud security on hyper scale cloud providers , GCP, Azure or AWS.

· Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide DevOps teams effectively.

· Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities in the context of cybersecurity challenges.

· Be collaborative and curious, able to work with all levels of staff with outstanding relationship building and influencing skills.

· Strong ability to lead and execute on the strategy to scale the security and privacy work across the organization, and not just execute on the deliverables.

· Passion for lean thinking approaches, automation, and continuous everything with a focus on scalability of software deliverables and of teams/people.

What we offer

· Flexible hybrid work environment. A hybrid workspace enables us to get the best out of both worlds – in person team building opportunities at our modern and flexible offices, as well as the ability to work from home in a setup tailored to your needs. We do foresee favoring a balance of more in-person team time over remote work as we build our organization and teams and get to know each other as teammates, a 3/2 model.

· Wellbeing support. Access healthcare benefits, mental health resources, and wellness programs, ensuring your holistic wellbeing.

· Continuous learning. Invest in your growth with opportunities for skill enhancement, including workshops, conferences, and certifications.

· Team unity. Build lasting connections through team-building events, collaborative projects, and shared victories.
