The Printer Tech II Serves as Field Service networked printer SME for the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) Rocket Lab specialized IT Support Team at Edwards AFB, CA. Provide intermediate level customer service in printer installation and troubleshooting of incidents provided within the Web Help Desk (WHD) ticketing system. Intermediate level support requires an in-depth knowledge of IT concepts, printers and more than basic troubleshooting skills gained through experience, certification, and formal training.

Responsibilities Overall responsible for the creation, research, and maintenance of documentation on all networked printersTransport, connect and deploy printers to assigned field locationsSchedule and perform preventive maintenance including cleaning, toner replacement, and add paper as neededCoordination with customers for printer troubleshooting and repairsComplete pre-deployment functional testing that includes Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) requirementsConduct post-deployment functional testingCoordinate and escort outside vendor technician(s) on site when required to perform Warranty service or repairsDownload and install firmware updates Qualifications A minimum of three (3) years of experience in hardware maintenance, deployment and management of printersMicrosoft Certified Professional (or Technology Specialist) certification (or approved training) for Microsoft Windows 10 (or higher).DOD IAT-II certification (CompTIA Security+CE)MD-102 (Microsoft Windows Endpoint Administrator Associate) Certification or CompTIA A+ 220-1101 and 220-1102.Interim SECRET (or higher) security clearance
