**Job Title: TIG Welder** **Job Opportunity: TIG Welder – Amherst, NY** We are seeking a skilled **TIG Welder** with expertise in **stainless steel** and **sanitary welding** to join our team. The role is a **6-month contract** with the potential for permanent hire, offering long-term stability and growth opportunities. **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform **TIG welding** on stainless steel and food-grade materials, both independently and as part of a team. + Complete welding, fabrication, and assembly of systems, including large parts and vessels for the **pharmaceutical** and **food-grade industries** . + Pass a **3/8-inch stainless steel weld test** , including **corner and butt joints** . + Utilize various welding techniques, including **TIG, Flux Core, MIG** , and **ASME pressure vessel welding** . + Polish and finish stainless steel pipes and tubes to meet industry standards. **Essential Skills & Qualifications:** + **Proficiency in TIG welding** , with a focus on **stainless steel** . + **Experience with sanitary and food-grade welding** . + Ability to **pass a 3/8-inch stainless steel weld test** on corner and butt joints. + Prior experience in a **fabrication shop environment** . **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + Experience with **polishing and finishing stainless steel** . + Familiarity with **ASME pressure vessel welding** standards is a plus. **Why Join Us?** This is an exceptional opportunity to work at a well-respected, family-owned company known for its high-end OEM shop environment.
