Reporting to the HR Manager for Payroll and Time and Leave, the Time and Leave Coordinator will be responsible for the unit’s day to day operations and services ensuring standards are met. The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Collaborates with manager to prepare and disseminate communications on T&L matters; and compiles and prepares data for reports, generate reports as needed, conduct presentations, etc. - Analyze and compile pertinent data from appropriate sources to timely fulfill requests from Central, external auditors, Legal Counsel, HR leadership, etc. - Review and audit Time and Leave (T&L) calculations and entries to ensure accuracy; generate reports to ensure system data is current to reflect active, inactive, terminated employees; recommend or take corrective action; - Grant and deactivate access to T&L system; provide support to end-users. - Certify, track and maintain all employee time and leave balances, analyzing data for accuracy and records maintenance in accordance with union contracts and CUNY guidelines; - Partner with manager to determine and plan projects, deliverables and deadlines; monitor progress and provide updates. - Supervise unit personnel and oversee operations; delegate work and assess work product quality and quantity; train personnel as needed; - Deliver time and leave orientations, and/or on-boarding and/or info-sessions re: T&L rules and procedures; etc. - Receive and timely respond/resolve customers/end-users’ questions, concerns, and/or requests. - Performs other related duties as needed. Until further notice, this is a hybrid position, eligible to work remotely and work on-site in the office. **QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelor's Degree required. - Two (2) years’ Time & Leave experience. - Higher education experience. - Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office Suite. **CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW** Provides information and services to the College community to support the Human Resources function. - Prepares and executes various personnel transactions involving employee recordkeeping, processing of new hires, pay administration, and recruiting - Maintains an understanding of policies, procedures, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements relevant to human resources - Organizes and processes employee information; develops and maintains reports and queries; assures data accuracy and completeness - Responds to requests for information; troubleshoots issues, follows up and responds to employee inquiries - Assists HR managers with employee communications of all kinds; may prepare materials, conduct orientation sessions, or update web pages - Performs related duties as assigned.
