This is a full-time position working M-F, 8am-4:30pm. The start rate for this position is $23.35 per hour. Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position.
Job Purpose or Objective(s): As the Senior Timekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring all payroll and attendance related functions are processed accurately. Act as a resource and provide leadership to Payroll Specialists. You will report to the Timekeeping Supervisor.
Primary Tasks:
1. Process payroll bi-weekly and maintain payroll and attendance related records.
2. Verify and enter missed punches. Input time corrections / entries. Assist managers with time corrections / entries and ensure the accurate processing and entry of timekeeping for all associates at the assigned locations.
3. Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.
4. Compile, review, and verify various reports (tip, overtime, turnover, attendance, etc.) for accuracy; make necessary adjustments or corrections.
5. Initiate payroll processing quality assurance reviews; identify training issues and/or problem prone processes to ensure optimal efficiency and error-free operations.
6. Track vacation, personal, and sick leave, for associates. Check associate schedules and unexcused absences.
7. Analyze and respond to complex questions and discrepancies requiring comprehensive knowledge of established policies and follow up to ensure corrections are made. Be an employee liaison with regard to HR policies and programs by helping to get issues raised and addressed and responding to their need for information on policies, procedures, benefits, pay etc.
8. Coordinate schedules and conduct training sessions for managers and supervisors on proper completion/submission of forms related to time and attendance
9. Establish new hires in the KRONOS timekeeping system and provide guidance and assistance to associates to communicate their responsibilities regarding payroll/timekeeping.
10. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and procedures.
Highly proficient in all payroll processes including timecards, attendance, and tips
Ability to focus on details while keeping the larger goals in context, take ownership for multiple assignments, prioritize work, meet tight deadlines, delegate where necessary.
Strong skills in spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets), charts, and word-processing.
Strong oral communications and data entry skills.
Ability to be confidential and above all give the best customer service.
Three (3) years of prior payroll experience
