At Skyworks the Timing Applications Engineering team supports combined hardware and software Network Synchronization solutions in real-world customer system. Applications Engineers are hands-on, board-level customer support engineers exposed to a large variety of technical problems. Flexibility and creative problem solving are key skills required in an Applications Engineering role. Intern Project Focus Achieve accurate measurements for evaluating high-performance NetSync Timing ICs Validate network synchronization on combined hardware + software IEEE 1588 systems Evaluate PCIe Gen6 compliance for legacy PCIe clock generator and buffer products Explore the jitter measurement methodologies in both time and frequency domain Study the IBIS modelling and validations for signal integrity analysis in applications Responsibilities Plan and implement technical investigations of one specified intern project Debug, test, document and report the project results within team Qualifications and Education Requirements Student working towards a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science Knowledge Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and methodologies Course work in digital/analog circuits, signals and systems, control systems Software programming tools (such as Visual Studio, Python, etc.) Excellent written and verbal presentation skills Fluent in both Mandarin and English (CTE6 or high TOEFL levels) Skyworks is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
