Tissue Processing Technician
Tissue Processing Technician Actalent is currently hiring multiple Tissue Processing Technicians in the Dayton area. These are long term openings in a lab setting, with lots of room for growth! This role requires a highschool diploma and previous healthcare/medical expiernece is a plus or quality assurance or control expiernece is a plus. The ideal candidate would have their highschool diploma and some previous expiernece handling biological specimen. Responsibilities include processing, debridement, packaging, labeling, and shipment of tissue products for surgical transplantation. These openings are on 3rd shift 11PM-7:30AM and will run Monday to Friday with some overtime Job Description: The Tissue Processing Technician will perform debridement, processing, packaging, and labeling of human tissue products for surgical transplantation while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and AATB regulations. + Perform processing, debridement, packaging, labeling, and shipment of finished products. + Utilize special techniques, instrumentation, and equipment to clean and size tissue to specifications and protocols. + Assist Team Lead with efforts in maintaining inventory levels on the core and dock for receiving supplies. + Perform lab cleaning activities as required by policies, protocols, procedures, and SOPs. + Work with Quality and Regulatory staff to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and AATB regulations and requirements, particularly those pertaining to manufacturing. + Correctly complete production documentation as required in nerve processing in accordance with standard operating procedures and quality standards. + Assist with production records as needed. + Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor. + Comply with all company policies and procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications: + Must have HS Diploma, prefer Associates Degree in science but not required. + Prior Medical/Healthcare experience is a plus. + Prior Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience is a plus. + Candidates that have worked in a previous regulated environment is a big plus. + Desire to be in the position long term. + Must be comfortable sitting and standing for long periods of time. + Experience with human tissue processing, debridement, and use of medical instruments like scalpels and forceps. + Previous expiernece in biology, healthcare, or medical assisting.
