Job Description

The Tissue Processing Technician will perform debridement, processing, packaging, and labeling of human tissue products for surgical transplantation while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and AATB regulations.

ResponsibilitiesPerform processing, debridement, packaging, labeling, and shipment of finished products.Utilize special techniques, instrumentation, and equipment to clean and size tissue to specifications and protocols.Assist Team Lead in maintaining inventory levels on the core and dock for receiving supplies.Perform lab cleaning activities as required by policies, protocols, procedures, and SOPs.Work with Quality and Regulatory staff to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and AATB regulations and requirements, particularly those pertaining to manufacturing.Correctly complete production documentation as required in nerve processing in accordance with standard operating procedures and quality standards.Assist with production records as needed.Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor.Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma required; Associates Degree in science preferred but not required.Prior medical/healthcare experience is a plus.Prior Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience is a plus.Experience working in a regulated environment is a big plus.Must be comfortable sitting and standing for long periods of time.Additional Skills & QualificationsDesire to be in the position long-term.Knowledge in handling human tissue, skin processing, and using medical instruments such as scalpels and forceps.Work Environment

The technician will work in a clean room environment and must be comfortable wearing PPE, which includes a lab coat, safety glasses, hairnet, and medical gloves, all provided by the employer. They will work in teams of 8-12 depending on their shift. The position offers the 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the requirement to be open to overtime and working rotating holidays. The company is moving into a brand-new state-of-the-art facility in Vandalia, OH, which presents opportunities for upward mobility during a phase of rapid growth.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
