Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the Markets and Enterprise Technology (MET) group regionally in the U.S., ensuring technology projects are executed / delivered aligned with the governance, risk and compliance requirements. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
What You’ll Do
Acts as governance oversight for U.S. IT projects, with a focus on Regulatory Remediation Programs.
Oversees and advises IT Program/Project teams and contract resources throughout full project lifecycle, building trust with execution IT teams.
Monitors all deliverables and commitments, timelines and due dates devising controls and checks to minimize operational and compliance risks.
Works with the Director of Technology Governance Office (TGO) to plan when TGO resources should be leveraged (Regulatory Compliance Oversight, Policy Writing, Issue Closure Writing and Challenge, Issue Management, etc.)
Maintains stakeholder relationships, particularly keeping head of U.S. IT and the Chief Information Officer apprised of regulatory program progress.
Manages interaction with control functions (e.g., 2nd line Risk and Compliance, Internal Quality Assurance, 3rd line Internal Audit), ensuring the teams are meeting expectations.
Ensures programs are abiding by relevant regulatory guidance and internal requirements (e.g., FFIEC, Issue Closure Guidelines, newly established processes are documented and appropriately approved, Enterprise Delivery Framework, etc.)
Enables and executes the project processes according to the Enterprise Delivery Framework.
Provides targeted problem-solving support to teams to simplify, accelerate and improve solutions.
Reviews various committee reporting for quality assurance.
Creates project reporting dashboards and provides updates, as necessary.
Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
What You’ll Bring
10+ years of experience in technology Project Management, regulatory program execution experience a plus
Experience with regulatory remediation programs (e.g., FRB, DFS) preferred
Working knowledge of FFIEC guidelines and industry best practices
Advanced problem solving, financial and analysis skills to deal with complex operational issues, across functions.
Ability to analyze complex cross-functional problems and identify opportunities for improvement within the overall context of the business and its service delivery functions.
Capable of managing / supervising an existing team of contingent resources
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with superb attention to detail.
Ability to build strong cross-functional business relationships
Proficient in MS-Office productivity applications, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
Ability to work under tight deadlines and conflicting priorities.
