The Headlines:   

In the role of Human Resources (HR) Business Partner Manager working in Montreal, you will be part of the Americas HR team and deliver HR strategies and services in our Canadian Commercial teams to effectively build the organizational capability required to achieve business goals and imperatives.

 

The position reports to the Director, HR Business Partner – CAN Commercial, and brokers the services of the HR centers of excellence and client group leaders in areas such as integrated people management, compensation, organizational effectiveness, benefits, etc. to implement and execute HR initiatives that support the business strategy.

 

The Responsibilities: 

Act as a strategic partner by working collaboratively, developing organizational capability, utilizing insights, and providing thought leadership to client groups.  Advance leadership development investment and capability, holding leaders accountable to their own development and leadership of others. Partner with leaders and employees to advance our diverse, equitable and inclusive environment that allows our people and business to grow and thrive. Lead and ensure utilization and effectiveness of integrated people management processes to grow talent, drive performance, and improve employee engagement.  Integrate new work practices through appropriate change methodology. Develop insights from people data (engagement survey, exit interview, etc.) to inform talent acquisition, development and retention strategies. As the Senior HR Business Partner on location - lead local culture building initiatives and support French facilitation of training sessions. 

 

 

The Other Qualifications: 

You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (four + years)   You have at least five (5) years of experience in human resources, some HR Business Partner experience is preferred, and working knowledge of country and provincial laws/regulations relating to the human resources field. You are bilingual in French and English. You are a change steward and strategic partner who ensures the precise execution of employee change management initiatives. You excel at problem-solving skills, for example, identifying and diagnosing performance gaps and recommending solutions to close these gaps. You have experience creating and embedding ongoing process efficiency and simplifying operational and administrative tasks. You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of business priorities.  You act with appropriate urgency to various operational demands that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy.  You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome.    You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments.    You have a thirst for learning – you are always looking for ways to learn and help one another grow.
