Purpose
Trade Floor Supervision (“TFS”) is a subset of the First Line Supervision Support team within US Internal Control. TFS is embedded on the trading floor and is responsible for establishing and monitoring a control framework that is reasonably designed to create a compliant trade floor environment. Specifically, TFS performs monitoring of transactions and communications of sales and trading employees to ensure compliance with the firm’s Code of Conduct, internal policies and procedures, Global FX Code, industry standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Do
Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Review electronic and voice communications generated by Global Banking and Markets (“GBM”) and Group Treasury staff for compliance with regulatory requirements and/or internal policies and procedures.
Perform and manages investigations of electronic and voice communications (e.g., discussing the facts and circumstances surrounding a particular communication with an employee), documents findings and, where required, escalates to relevant stakeholders which communications include potential violations of regulatory requirements and/or internal policies and procedures.
Perform market conduct related transaction monitoring for GBM sales and trading employees and manages related investigations, documents findings, and, where required, escalates to relevant stakeholders which transactions may have violated regulatory requirements and/or internal policies and procedures.
Must be highly organized and diligent in tracking and documenting numerous parallel investigations at the same time.
Communicate directly with the business regarding monitoring related investigations.
Able to use judgment in managing highly sensitive information and/or situations.
Assist with creating and disseminating reporting relating to monitoring.
Assist with periodically reviewing and drafting TFS procedures.
Responsible for participating in the periodic review of the parameters of communication and transaction-based reviews performed by TFS.
Assist with producing communication or transaction monitoring related evidence in connection with requests from external and internal auditors.
Perform daily risk based WSP reviews (e.g. cancel and amends, commissions, errors.
Perform monthly trend analysis reviews.
Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

What You’ll Bring
Previous experience in a front office supervision role or compliance function preferred Working knowledge of securities law, regulations and trading rules Ability to conduct detailed investigations and write concise reports in a timely manner. Must be able to obtain US licensing with FINRA (Series 7, 63, 24) Prior experience conducting communication surveillance would be highly desirable Thorough analytical skills required to work with the various programs and information to ensure completeness of a communication. JD preferred. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
