Title: Partner Manager
Essential Functions Develop medium to large-sized new alliance partners and engage with specific technology partners to meet sales targets. Manage sales in a designated geographical area targeting medium to large accounts. Collaborate with district and regional sales management on the development and execution of a sales strategy, adhering to available resources and objectives. Formulate and drive business development strategies with selected partners (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft, Symantec, SAP) to boost incremental sales within the region. Leverage partner solutions and resources within the NetApp sales force, ensuring alignment and collaboration at the district sales level. Partner with the field marketing organization to plan and execute effective communication and demand generation campaigns for each partner across the region. Work with marketing to utilize current sales tools and assist in the creation of new solution-driven campaigns. Engage with peers across NetApp's field and alliance marketing organizations to ensure best practices in partner campaigns. Job Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation, customer service, business, and negotiation skills. Willingness to travel within the assigned region and work closely with District Managers, Sales Representatives, and channel partners. Occasional travel outside the region may be required. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. High energy and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, growing organization. Capability to manage priorities and meet deadlines. A comprehensive understanding of go-to-market strategies, including account segmentation, products, and marketing strategies. Broad exposure to a range of technologies and concepts in a distributed environment. Responsibility and Interaction: The candidate will apply their extensive experience and knowledge to solve a wide range of issues in creative and practical ways, in accordance with industry practices and company policies. Responsible for a specific geographical install base and handling medium to large accounts, with the possibility of managing their own accounts or working as part of a team. The candidate will work effectively with senior internal personnel within the function, support staff from other functions, and have direct customer contact. The role requires minimal management direction on day-to-day work, with general instructions provided for new assignments and a review of activities and priorities. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert who proactively contributes to the sales team, influences decisions positively, and may act as a team leader and key decision-maker for team projects.
