BRIEF INTRODUCTION:

 

The Email Surveillance Administrator supports the dedicated team within ScotiaMcLeod National Supervision that monitors and reviews electronic communications in accordance with regulatory requirements and Scotiabank policies and procedures.  


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
In this role you will:

Undertake a daily review of the electronic communications of in-scope ScotiaMcLeod employees and exhibit a high-level of understanding of those communications.   Maintain an informed and consistent level of knowledge of regulatory requirements in order to reduce regulatory, reputational, or financial risk to the firm. Follow established escalation processes and address issues identified by sending customized escalation templates in a timely matter. Communicate with employees to explain regulatory requirements and Scotiabank’s policies and procedures for electronic communications. Perform daily analysis and maintenance of various reports utilizing Microsoft Office applications. Perform research, analysis, and maintenance of client data within internal system(s). Maintain and develop technical skills and increase ability to navigate through Excel spreadsheets and/or databases efficiently and accurately. Effectively communicate with other business partners and Branches when needed. Assist branches to resolve issues when needed by monitoring the generic team email box.
 

DO YOU HAVE THE SKILLS:

Post Secondary Education completion Required Completion of the CSC (Canadian Securities course) is preferred.  French and/or Spanish Proficiency is Preferred. Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
