The candidate is a key player within the Business Banking Credit Risk Report Reporting & Analytics team, supporting strategic enhancements to the Risk Intelligence reporting solutions and produce daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual risk reports for senior management.
The candidate will work closely with the Senior Manager to collaborate with business stakeholders to review and assess business needs for improved risk information and to help define enhancements to respond to business, operational and management requirements. The candidate activities include data analysis, business requirement solution determination and documentation, and supporting reporting module enhancement development and implementation. The individual must thrive on challenge, be proactive and dynamic, demonstrate initiative and sound judgement, team player, be eager to learn, and be customer focused.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
Work with the Senior Manager and the leadership team to develop strategic opportunities for the design, development and implementation of new solutions or enhancements to existing solutions by: Developing and implementing strategies for increasing the effectiveness and quality of Business Banking Credit Risk reporting to senior management, executive and board reporting. Receiving business requirements and assess against data availability and risk management to determine the right delivery approach for new reports. Ensure timeline and delivery commitments are tightly managed and aligned with reporting or project deliverables. Responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of management reporting modules. Be able to explain variances to management and stakeholders. Assist in the redesign of the Risk Reporting & Analytics solutions. Implement AI-driven process optimizations to improve operational efficiencies and facilitate better analytical capabilities. Develop and write queries (that are suitable and scalable) for ‘big data’, build and maintain semantic models and dataflows. Ensure dataflows and semantic models are accessible to team members, and the data sets are working smoothly. Test enhancements / changes to existing data sources and identifying, monitoring and communicating data quality issues. Running ad-hoc queries for internal stakeholders. Effectively communicating with GRM, IT&S, Finance, and Audit.

A minimum of three or more years of progressive, relevant and practical experience with preferably financial institutions, in data analytics fields, and a proven track record of success in implementing effective analytical solutions that support and generate profitable and informed decision-making in the financial services sector.
Strong expertise in business intelligence, data analysis, and risk reporting, with experience in banking for financial services. Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and other tools to develop and optimize risk reporting solutions. Experience in leveraging AI and Machine learning to enhance reporting automation, predictive analytics and risk assessment. Strong understanding of relational databases, data structures, and query optimization, with the ability to work with large datasets and troubleshoot data issues. Strong ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into efficient reporting and analytical solutions. Strong communication skills and problem-solving skills to assist senior manager to work with cross functional stakeholders. Strong project management skill to manage timelines, deliverables to align with the team goal. Ability to handle multiple projects and activities in a timely, organized manner.
Advanced graduate university degree (typically in mathematics, business administration, technology, statistics or equivalent). CFA or FRM designation an asset. Previous Banking and/or Credit experience is desirable.
