Purpose
 

The Senior Manager, Global Periodic and Regulatory Refresh ensures a customer-first approach to maintaining client accounts. This role involves close collaboration with regional KYC leads to align and standardize policies and procedures. The individual adds value to processes and oversees outsourced vendor governance. The role requires strategic thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration on projects and regulatory remediation with internal and external teams to integrate initiatives into our Target Operating Model.
 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank systems and knowledge. Direct and monitor staff and activities to ensure timely, compliant completion of Global Periodic Refresh and Regulatory functions. Ensure staff are fully trained on regulatory regulations and KYC/AML protocols, and have access to necessary tools. Manage employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, and mentorship. Oversee out-of-cycle client refreshes to enhance client experience and drive process efficiencies. Monitor vendor governance controls. Support project/business initiatives for remediation requirements. Ensure adherence to the GBM KYC Program through well-articulated processes and written procedures. Participate in the change process for industry-mandated or system changes. Ensure compliance with bank policies. Ensure collection of Customer Identification Program information and mandatory Due Diligence/Enhanced Due Diligence information during refresh. Review and confirm adequacy and accuracy of required KYC information and documentation within the prescribed timeframe. Confirm verification documents are obtained and work is completed within the prescribed timeframe. Conduct background checks (Sanctions, PEPs, Negative News) and maintain evidence in the KYC system. Escalate confirmed or suspected name matches with material negative information to AML Advisory/AML Risk Officer. Ensure regulatory obligations are refreshed and new requirements are implemented into BAU. Participate in Compliance Operations meetings and enterprise-wide initiatives as a subject matter expert. Draft communications and provide documentation in response to inquiries from auditors, bank departments, and regulators. Interface with business units, including front office teams, as needed. Review, monitor, and prepare reports and KPIs of daily activities. Maintain open communication with stakeholders on client maintenance matters, including progress, incidents, anomalies, resource needs, and delays.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

5 to 8 years of direct industry experience in Capital Markets and Corporate/Investment Banking, covering multiple product areas. A graduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline is required. Mandatory prior project management and people management experience. Business acumen, judgment, critical thinking, and time management skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to build consensus and cooperation from clients, colleagues, and senior management. Teamwork, collaboration, responsiveness, and demonstrated accountability and ownership. Ability to operate efficiently in a stressful environment with changing priorities and tight time frames monitored by Senior/Executive Management. Quick learning ability to understand policies, procedures, systems, processes, and controls swiftly.
