Purpose
As a member of the Global Technology, Enterprise Platforms (GTEP) Strategy, Employee Engagement and Communications team, the Manager, Strategy, Communications & Employee Engagement, GTEP will play a key role in managing Scotiabank’s GTEP’s strategic plans, producing internal and external communications for the GTEP team, and executing employee engagement programs. The successful candidate will be able to conceptualize, create, deliver, and measure the success of plans, communications, and programs in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities
Strategy:
Drive the execution and track the progress of strategic plans and goals. Identify wins, key issues and propose recommendations to ensure adherence to the strategic plans. Create and develop service roadmaps with Service Owners and partners. Create and communications and reporting on GTEP’s strategic plan and priorities. Create presentation materials suitable for executive audiences Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external partners to support the achievement of deliverables and overall objectives.Communication:
Amplify communication plans to keep team members informed about projects, milestones, learning & development initiatives and employee engagement programs. Create communication materials, including presentations, emails, and Teams’ posts to convey key messages. Provide support for the maintenance and modernization of SharePoint. Ensure consistent and transparent communication for GTEP technology driven projects.Employee Engagement:
Support on-site and virtual event logistics, connect with various contacts at the global GTEP level to stay aligned with different initiatives, celebrations, and events.

Education / Experience / Other Information
You can demonstrate exceptional communication (written/verbal/presentation) skills. You have highly developed relationship management skills to effectively manage relationships across the Bank, its partners, and external vendors. You have a proven track record delivering innovative solutions from concept to change management. You have experience in effective reporting and partner management. You possess exceptional planning and analytical skills, ability to discern research information / data and focus on the critical business and country-specific issues. You are self-motivated; ability to work both independently and collaboratively with multi-functional teams. You can deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment. You have completed a bachelor’s degree or have relevant experience. Acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior business leaders, key partners and communications leaders across the Bank. Discrete ability to recognize and appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information. Proven track record delivering innovative solutions from concept to change management. Leveraging feedback from formal and informal channels to deliver strong and aligned communications and engagement. Staying current and implementing communications best practices. Ability to take complex technology ideas, concepts and projects and translate then into simplified and digestible key messages that resonate with various audiences. Exceptional written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to drive internal and external engagement across a large employee base and amongst a range of partners. Knowledge and experience leveraging various communication vehicles to effectively communicate and engage employees. Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a leadership team. Flexible and willing to take on new challenges as they present themselves. Ability to create enthusiasm and foster a team environment. Excellent knowledge with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
