Overview

We’re looking for a Full-Time 2nd Shift Formulation Processor I (2:30pm - 11:00pm) who weighs out and processes bulk product in accordance with all applicable SOPs, regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

EssentialResponsible for following all Plant Policies, Safety Policies, Procedures and Regulations (including but not limited to FDA, FSMA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA, Lock Out Tag Out, Required PPE)Excellent Technological Skills to use the copier, handheld scanner and navigate such programs as Microsoft Excel, Word, email, JDE, RFGen and MasterControl Excellent communication skills including being able to read and follow instructions and to write detailed explanations of work performed. Also able to communicate professionally between Supervisors, shifts and departments any process changes or delaysResponsible for sanitation using compressed air, hot water, cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, and vacuums to maintain a clean and safe environment for the consumer and the plantActively participate in meetings, safety programs, personal development, and company improvementsResponsible for driving a forklift safely and under control in tight spaces and in high traffic areasAbility to work well under pressure and multi-task as the demand necessitatesExpected high personal and team performance with an ability to work without direct supervisionExcellent eye for detail to create a batch from raw ingredients to its final blended stageAbility to determine changes in ingredient color/consistencyClean up and dispose of expired ingredients, returned bulks and other materials in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulationsTrain/supervise new employees to share vital information/skills to improve their job performanceTake responsibility for inventory controlPerforms other duties in the facility as needed or assigned

Qualifications

Essential

Ability to certify as a Melaleuca forklift operator. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work under stress.Ability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs. on a regular basis.Good math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.)Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.Demonstrated mechanical ability and aptitude to operate complex mechanical equipment. Ability to work in varying work conditions including a hot and humid enviroment.Ability to work in tight spaces including under and around holding tanks and processors.Ability to move 400-600 lb. drums utilizing appropriate equipment.Knowledge of current GMP’s and FDA Regulations concerning cosmetic and drug products.Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.

Additional

One (1) or more years experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent is preferred.Knowledge of applicable chemicals, their appearance and how to safely handle and blend them.2 years prior forklift experience or equivalent is preferred.
