TalentWorld's client in Guelph is seeking a Tool and Die Maker to build, assemble, and repair a variety of jigs, fixtures, and gauges. You'll work from detailed blueprints and collaborate closely with supervisors, using everything from lathes and mills to precision tools and CNC machines. If you have a passion for hands-on work and love the challenge of creating something precise, this is the perfect role for you!
Tool and Die Maker Responsibilities Follow directions and instructions from the Tool Room Lead Hand. Lay out and perform operations to create or repair tools like jigs, dies, fixtures, gauges, and special machine tools using drawings, samples, and instructions. Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and adhere to ISO procedures and safety standards. Set up and test new tools, assist with close tolerance inspections, and troubleshoot/repair standard dies. Utilize shop floor tools (manual or CNC), read CAD/blueprints, and provide ongoing support to production with minimal supervision. Tool and Die Makers Qualifications Proficient in basic computer applications. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Keen attention to detail. Certificate of Qualification with 10 years of relevant experience. Completed a 3-year Tool & Die Apprentice from an Ontario college.
