Pay: $30.00-$40.00 an hour
Schedule: 1st shift: 7:00am-3:30pm OR 2nd shift: 3:30pm-12:00am The Tool Maker III is responsible for designing, fabricating, repairing, and maintaining highly intricate tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to exacting standards. Responsibilities: Design, fabricate, and repair a wide variety of precision tools, dies, jigs, gauges, and fixtures. Work with semi-permanent dies, layout work, and short-run stamping through progressive dies. Perform highly skilled fitting, adjusting, and timing of tools and machinery. Operate CAD/KEY, CNC lathe, and other relevant toolroom technologies. Read and interpret complex blueprints and sketches to create tools and equipment. Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of tools and dies to minimize downtime. Use advanced shop mathematics and precision measuring instruments for tool design and operation. Collaborate with engineers and production teams to address tool-related issues and improve processes. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Requirements: At least 6 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Proficient in toolmaking techniques and the use of manual and CNC machines. Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings. Strong knowledge of progressive dies, tool fabrication, and maintenance. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Willingness to purchase required inspection and hand tools upon job offer acceptance.
