**Job Title: Tool and Die Maker** **Job Description** **We are currently seeking two Tool and Die Makers for the Night Shift.** In this role, you will be responsible for sharpening dies, servicing blades, and changing over die sets for various products. You will interface with production and engineering teams on product start-ups and new product launches. Additionally, you will build tooling from scratch using blueprints, build dies, and adapt dies to fit presses. Daily die changeovers will be performed using an overhead crane, and you will utilize micrometers, surface grinders, and manual mills. This position requires the use of manual lathes and mills. **Night Shift- 3:30pm - 2:00am Sunday - Thursday with expected OT on Friday, 50 hours per week.** **Responsibilities** + Sharpen dies and service blades + Change over die sets from product to product + Interface with production and engineering on product start-ups and new product launches + Build tooling from scratch using blueprints + Build dies and adapt them to fit presses + Perform daily die changeovers using an overhead crane + Utilize micrometers, surface grinders, and manual mills + Use manual lathes and mills **Essential Skills** + Manual Machining Experience (Lathe/Mills) + Blueprint Knowledge + Surface Grinding Experience + Tool & Die Experience **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + T&D Journeyman Card + Welding Experience **Why Work Here?** We provide education for apprentices and eventually offer opportunities to become a Journeyman in Tool and Die. The facility is loud and not temperature-controlled, so it can get hot in the summer. Employees are required to wear jeans and steel-toed boots. The company is affiliated with the UAW Union, though membership is not mandatory for all employees. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of **Bluffton, Indiana** . **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $27.00/hr.
