Essential Duties:

Studies blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions; and specifies requirements for materials and machines to be used to fabricate parts. Computes dimensions, plans layout, determines assembly & sequence of operations. Examines and troubleshoots new or previously used dies, tools, and jigs and fixtures, analyzes problem and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of the part. Develops specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and draws or sketches design of the product. Maintain, repair, and improve dies and tooling. Make adjustments to equipment in the production process to ensure part quality and promote continuous improvement. Assists in the maintenance, repairing, and improvement of dies and tooling.
