Under general supervision, this position is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing tools, machine tool fixtures, dies, measuring devices, test equipment, ground support equipment, materials and/or supplies in support of local and deployed locations. Takes periodic inventory ensuring item availability to fill incoming requisitions. Typically, assignments are routine in nature but the ability to recognize deviations from accepted practice is required. This opportunity is for 1st shift (06:00AM-3:30PM).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Receives, stores and issues tools, machine tool fixtures, dies, measuring devices, materials and/or supplies. Supports local and deployed locations with tool related issuesAssembles new tool kits and upgrades and maintains existing tool kits. Ensures accurate distribution and tracking of itemsMaintains database of issued, damaged, worn out or missing equipment. Researches and orders new or replacement toolsMaintains shop supply inventory. Orders and stores required suppliesMaintains accurate database of government owned propertyMaintains ground support equipment. Cleans, oils, and performs minor repair on equipment to maintain or upgrade equipmentMay periodically calibrate measuring devicesMay be responsible for storing, transporting, and disposing of hazardous material (HAZMAT)Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the CompanyExpected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practicesOther duties as assigned or required.
