Tool Crib Attendant
**Job Title: Tool Crib Attendant** **Job Description** The ideal candidate for this position will assist the Tool Crib Lead by providing cutting tools and supplies to multiple plants. Additionally, the Tool Crib Attendant will coordinate with the Tool Crib Lead and machine shop leadership team to identify and test new tools and work-holding devices. The position requires ensuring all tool ordering, receiving, and routing to appropriate locations. The candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain a clean and efficient work area. **Responsibilities** + Work within a safety and metric-focused environment + Order, receive, store, and issue tool holders and cutting tools to appropriate CNC machine resources + Monitor job queue to identify, prioritize, and supplement tooling needs + Maintain tool holder and cutting tool inventory within computer system + Read and understand CNC machine set-up instructions to identify tool list + Set up traditional and advanced CNC machine tool holders with cutting tools + Use shrink-fit machine to set up tools + Use measuring equipment like micrometer or caliper to measure cutting tools + Keep up with cutting-tool technology advancements through relationships with outside vendors + Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions + Maintain accurate records of tool locations, scheduled repairs, and maintenance + Work unsupervised and make simple decisions independently **Essential Skills** + Organizational skills to keep accurate records + Ability to work unsupervised + Basic computer skills for transacting tools and materials in the system + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel + Experience with inventory control and cycle counts **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous experience in the Tool Crib or Inventory Materials + Previous machining experience + Knowledge of tooling design and SolidWorks **Why Work Here?** We offer a range of benefits including 401(k) with a 3% match, dental insurance, health insurance, and life insurance.
