As a Stamping Tool & Die Supervisor at Ford Oakville, you will do all that and more. We are investing to expand the Ford Oakville plant to produce the legendary F-Series Super Duty pickup truck. This role will require you to leverage your skills and experience to drive a culture of excellence, focus, and collaboration. As Tool & Die Supervisor will oversee the repair and preventative maintenance of machine shop tools, gauges, fixtures, jigs and dies. You will also be responsible for ensuring departmental productivity, quality, safety, and cost targets are achieved for all stamping dies on your shift. 
 

Minimum Requirements:

Education: 

High School DiplomaValid Tool & Die Maker's Certificate of Qualification Certificate of Apprenticeship

Experience:

3 years of experience in a Supervisory roleTroubleshooting Die issues in Tandem Presses & Transfer PressesFlexibility to work shifts and weekends as required

Preferred Requirements:

Experience working in an automotive heavy stamping facilityExperience tig welding with tool steelBlue light scanning experience Aluminium stamping experienceRoot Cause and Problem-Solving experienceProven experience in home line commissioning of stamping dies or tooling, performing internal try outs, troubleshooting issues during initial run, and making necessary adjustments to meet production specificationsGeneral knowledge of Forming Limit Diagrams (FLD)Understanding and expertise in draw die forming, maintenance of beads, trim steels, and pierce operations

Note: Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained.  If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.
