Basic Job Functions:
Our Tool Room Lead assists with tooling operations on all shifts and in areas of safety, team development, cost control and project management. Leadership responsibilities include scheduling, coaching, counseling, and communicating job expectations. Assists Tool Room Supervisor to meet financial standards by providing annual budget information, monitor expenditures, identify variances and implement corrective actions.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications: Technical Degree in Machining/Engineering or a related field OR at least 5 years industrial experience Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of Forming principles Knowledge of IFI standards Experience in Team Development Technically proficient in mechanical machining aspects Experience working with vendors, part suppliers and machine distributorsCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future.
