ESTIMATED SALARY $60,000 - $75,000 annually, DOE JOB SUMMARY As a Tooling Engineer, you may be responsible for: maintaining stamping dies of all types, die components, and production tooling; troubleshooting dies in press; installing and adjusting die and tooling components as necessary; interpreting complex detail and component drawings; producing parts to print tolerances; maintaining production tooling within quality standards, estimating production rates, part weights and other factors necessary to determine part costs and press selection; reviewing parts and part prints and providing information on moldability, material considerations and performance; ensuring multiple part compatibility and specifying tool parameters, and working collaboratively with suppliers and other Applied partners. QUALIFICATIONS + A 2-year degree or Technical Diploma in Mechanical Design/Drafting or Journeyman Tool and Die Maker (or similar) required + Bachelor’s of Science Degree in a related engineering field preferred + 1+ years of professional experience working with tool and die stamping and/or CNC machines; related internships will be considered as experience in this role + Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics required + Industrial math skills required + Proto Trak or other CNC experience preferred SKILLS AND VALUES + Capable of working independently and as a team member + Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity + Excellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset + Curiosity, problem-solving, and analytical thinking + Effective verbal and written communication + Desire to work on a variety of projects ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Please consider joining Applied’s team of talented employees!
