MACHINIST JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates and maintains metal working machinery that could include the following: CNC milling centers, wire EDM’s, manual mills, manual lathes, welding, drill presses and forklift operations. Perform a variety of tasks such as layouts, machine set-ups, machining, inspection, and assembly of parts. Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production. Ability to select and apply the necessary tooling and machining practices. Selects appropriate machine and operations for a given task and plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment. Maintains a safe and clean workstation. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing and communicating related tasks as needed. Responsibility for in-process quality checks such as inspecting work in progress to maintain dimensions and other quality requirements.POSITION SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50lbs. Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle and/or adjust equipment. Moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping and grasping. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toed work boots or shoes.
Occasional overtime work may be required to meet business demands. Will be exposed to diverse manufacturing environments, noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous material.
SAFETY:
Proper PPE to be worn while on the shop floor, including safety glassed, hearing protection, long pants, steel toe boots; no loose or baggy clothing.
COMPENSATION:
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.
Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn between $24.55/hr - $35.55/hr.

In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
