Summary: Seeking a Tooling Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer specialized in developing, troubleshooting, and improving progressive stamping dies for a Tier 1 Automotive plant.
Job Requirements:
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Inventor
Experience with progressive dies
Simulation experience (preferred)
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a unionized plant environment
Familiarity with Motoman Robots
Job Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and launch new stamping projects
Troubleshoot and repair stamping/tooling issues on the floor
Review and improve efficiency of current tooling processes
Prepare specifications, RFQs, design approvals, and run-offs for new dies
Lead technical troubleshooting of metal stamping dies and related production equipment
Design modifications and upgrades on existing dies and details
Lead efforts on stamping department improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cost reductions
Work with machine builders on new/rebuilt equipment design recommendations
Supervise skilled tradesmen in the Tool Room to ensure efficient production
Organize Tool Room stock for timely repairs of dies, injection molds, general tooling, and machine components
Prepare management reports and analyze department performance
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
