Tooling Validation Engineer- Co-Op- Spring 2025
DEKA Research & Development, located in Manchester, NH, is seeking a 6+ month Tooling Validation Engineer Co-Op to assist in the development of a groundbreaking medical device. As a Tooling Validation Engineer Co-Op you will work in a dynamic R&D environment alongside a group of passionate engineers to create innovative solutions that truly make a difference. This Co-Op will be working closely with manufacturing, test engineering, electrical engineering, reliability, compliance, as well as project managers. Clear, concise, and excellent communication will be vital in this role.

DEKA offers Co-Ops for full time students* (must be at least 18 years of age). This position is for a 6+ month rotation for the spring semester (January through June 2025). Applicants must be a fulltime student for the entire duration of the rotation.

How you will make an impact as a Tooling Validation Engineer Co-Op:Assist with daily project activities to achieve results including solving technical and other project challenges, helping to managing resource conflicts, resolving roadblocks, and upholding high performance standards.Work closely with the Project Manager and the project’s technical test team to identify, plan, and drive deliverables, validate tools, and ensure that the testing being performed is similar to the FVT style testing.Help define and manage task priorities based on high-level project goals and constraintsWork with project team leaders to define and implement process improvementsHelp to ensure an overall level of product quality in line with DEKA’s standardsCreate and execute test proceduresReport out to team on test results and findingsAssist in analysis of collected dataDocument and investigate observations made during testingTo be successful as a Tooling Validation Engineer Co-Op, you will need the following skills and experience:Must be at least a Junior currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate technical/ STEM programMust have strong organizational and coordination skills with a detail-oriented mindset and ability to juggle multiple activitiesExceptional verbal and written communication skills with the desire to work in a collaborative environmentFlexibility and comfort working in a quickly changing environmentStrong analytical/problem solving skillsAbility to communicate technically with a variety of engineering disciplines
