**Job Title: Toolmaker (Expert Level)** Rochester, NY **Pay:** $25-35/hr **Job Description:** We are seeking an expert-level Toolmaker to produce, modify, and repair tooling for manufacturing processes. The role involves using mills, lathes, and surface grinders to create parts based on technical prints. You will also work with both 2D and 3D computer-aided design and manufacturing software (CAD/CAM) and provide valuable input on tooling designs. The position requires expertise in tool and die assembly, fitting, and repair, as well as training operators on basic machine operation. **Responsibilities:** + Produce, modify, and repair tooling based on specifications and blueprints. + Utilize mills, lathes, and surface grinders to manufacture precise parts. + Apply CAD/CAM software for both 2D and 3D design and manufacturing processes. + Assemble, fit, and repair tools as needed for production operations. + Teach basic machine operations to floor operators to enhance their understanding and efficiency. + Provide input on tooling designs to improve overall manufacturing processes and product quality. + Ensure all work complies with company and industry standards. **Skills:** + Expert toolmaking skills, including the use of CNC programming. + Proficient in CAD/CAM systems for both design and manufacturing. + Strong understanding and application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). + Extensive experience in tool and die work. + Advanced ability to read and interpret engineering prints, with high proficiency in GD&T. **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + In-depth knowledge of toolmaking and tool & die processes. + Proven experience with CNC programming, mills, lathes, and surface grinders. + Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. + Ability to teach and mentor junior operators. **Experience Level:** Expert Level **_If you are a highly skilled toolmaker with a passion for precision and innovation, we invite you to apply and contribute to our manufacturing excellence._** **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
