About the Position: This position is with the Logistics Division with the 404th Army Field Support Brigade at Yakima Training Center. Responsibilities Monitors inventory by conducting periodic checks to maintain accountability. Purchases items through automated systems to keep stock replenished. Processes parts records in automated systems to track vehicle maintenance. Performs operators' maintenance on vehicles to keep them in working condition. Trains operators on the safe use of Material Handling Equipment. Manages purchases for various accounts to ensure compliance. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Tools and Parts Attendant without more than normal supervision. Must possess the ability to perform common tasks including receiving, storing, and issuing tools and equipment, maintaining vehicle and equipment records, operating vehicles up to and including 5-ton trucks, instructing Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operators, handling various records and reports, organizing inventory, scheduling and processing maintenance, training personnel in MHE operations, and compiling operational data for reports. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. Knowledge of Materials Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean, and in order) Physical Effort: Performs work on hard surfaces and in work areas requiring standing, stooping, bending and walking. Frequently lifts and carries tools, parts, supplies and equipment weighing up to 10 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs, using equipment and other workers for assistance on heavier items. Working Conditions: Work area is well lighted, heated and ventilated. Occasionally works in unheated drafty and dirty areas. Is exposed to possible cuts, scrapes and bruises. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This is a Logistics Career Field position.
