This employee is expected to do to the following job duties:
Clean warehouse with hand brooms and the sweeper/scrubber machine to meet company standards. Clean warehouse of all loose debris from the floor and traveling area – immediately.
Ensure all trash cans are empty and clean from offices and buildings.
Clean break room, restrooms, and work areas.
Ensure that pest control systems are operating effectively by removing damaged product immediately.
Sweep entire floor area of warehouse – daily/weekly clean-up.
Remove ice and snow from pedestrian walkways and doorways.
Keep grounds free from litter and debris.
Inspect fire extinguishers routinely and document results on fire extinguisher tag.
Obtain a JM Smucker Forklift license and demonstrate safe operations of the forklift or other powered material handling equipment.
Keep forklift battery area clean.
Report maintenance and safety issues to a shift supervisor in a timely manner.
Review, understand, and follow the operator responsibilities of all JSA’s and Safe Practices written for warehouse.
Comply with OSHA and other appropriate standards.
Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate with job tasks and areas
Other duties as assigned.
