Salary: Current Salary per GTA Contract Bargaining Unit ( click here (https://www.greececsd.org/Page/531) for contracts): GTA Report Times: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm Daily Hours: 7 Work Year: 2025-2026 Supervisor: Julie Parsons (PreK-5) or Jamie Wojtowicz (6-12) Minimum Requirements: NYS Certification in Reading (all grade levels preferred, minimally, B-6) Tenured teacher Meeting or exceeding standards as defined by the District Professional Performance Review Desired Qualifications: Preference given to those with experience at various instructional levels Preference given to teachers who have Reading Recovery or Orton Gillingham training Ability to collaborate with staff district wide Strong organizational skills Flexibility to meet the needs of students (this position will require placements throughout the District as needs arise) Work directly with students, teachers, and administrators to identify and support student needs including support to teachers and staff delivering instruction Knowledge of PreK-12 Next Generation Learning Standards and NYS Literacy Initiative/Science of Reading Briefs, PLC (Professional Learning Communities), RTI (Responding to Intervention), and Adult Learning Model Professional Development Creative problem solver, demonstrating an ability to monitor and adjust to student or teacher needs Ability to support technology and curriculum programs for assessment, instruction, and intervention Ability to establish rapport with students, teachers and administrators Position Summary/Responsibilities: Analyze student data and collaborate with teachers and administrators to determine appropriate intervention that accelerates learning and performance as measured by diagnostic and progress monitoring assessment Work collaboratively with school and district staff, administration, and committees with a focus on data driven instruction and assessment analysis to improve the performance of at risk students Support PreK-12 when concerns arise based upon data analysis and multiple measures and devise a plan to meet student needs Develop research-based professional development aligned with NGLS and the NYS Literacy Initiative Lead site-based visits, professional learning, and trainings to support Universal Prekindergarten programming Lead curriculum and assessment development and revision Willingness to serve in role for a minimum of three (3) years Execute other tasks as assigned by the Directors of Curriculum and Instruction and the Executive Director of Instruction and Curriculum May be required to mentor new hires across the district as needed with supervisor approval May be required to cover at various buildings across the district as needed with supervisor approval This position may be called on to substitute in classroom(s) when the need for a daily substitute arises. In very rare cases, this position may be called upon to fulfil a vacancy in the appropriate tenure area until the vacancy can be filled. The individual in this position may be invited to attend Summer Leadership Academy (SLA) and will be compensated at the Professional Rate ($35/hour).
