Job Summary:
Under supervision assists in the provision of information, maintenance of databases, report production and routine data analysis. Work is reviewed for completeness, accuracy and soundness.
Department Description:
Our group manages all aspects of HR Operations for the physicians. We do all the hiring, terminating, and everything in between. Through these processes, there are many things to evaluate and determine eligibility for compensation. Our team is very close-knit and everyone has a willingness to step in and help each other out.
Project Description:
Interns are required to manage the Specialty Profiles project, working with each Specialty Consultant and Regional Chief to update the Specialty Profiles (for over 100 job codes) and see them through the approval process. These are like job descriptions that we are building for our physician specialties. The intern will also assist with Compensation Committee preparations and various reports that are generated for this purpose. Interns are required to assist with the new hire processes. Summer is busy hiring season for us and our interns are integral to help review all requirements and ensure that the compensation is correct in the system. Additionally, our interns will also assist with various other processes and projects.

Business Administration, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration.

We are looking for someone with an analytical mindset who thinks critically about information/data being presented and is not afraid to ask questions. Someone who may not know the answers, but willing to do the research and has good attitude toward learning new things and lending a hand to their coworkers. Strong sense of taking initiative, eagerness to learn, willingness to do some data entry, large degree of organization skills, team oriented, can-do/above-and-beyond attitude are all great attributes of a strong candidate.
Essential Responsibilities:
Examples of project support include: Collects, prepares and tracks reports and summaries such as: budget to actual expenditures, production statistics, and utilization of services and statistical records of performance. Performs a variety of data collection and analysis assignments. Prepares ad hoc data requests as directed. Prepares and/or formats graphs, spreadsheets and reports by utilizing office software. May be asked to maintain databases on a regular basis by entering data and preparing data extracts. May extract information from different sources to compile data. Executes existing queries for established reports. Schedules conference calls and meetings. Contributes to the development of presentations materials. Provides administrative and project support as assigned such as copying, filing, entering and extracting data. Engages in and supports project work. Kaiser Permanente conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis.
