Our 12-week paid internship program offers firsthand experience and meaningful projects that have an impact on our business. Throughout the program, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals receiving mentorship, professional development and networking opportunities that will expose you to various aspects of our industry.

Working alongside professionals in a wide variety of departments with internships available in the following areas:

Build a Career: 

Find your place in our Human Resources department, in addition to the impactful work you will complete within your department, you will: 

Assist with projects tied to Gordon Food Service’s strategic initiatives.Gain  knowledge of the business, workplace etiquette, and business communication. Work 1 on 1 with a Talent Acquisition Specialist to revamp your resume. Work on cross functional teams to present impactful business solutions to senior leadership.

As an intern in the Total Rewards Human Resources department, you will gain experience in several key areas. You will learn how to review job descriptions and determine market pricing for various positions. Additionally, you will learn how to create compensation plans and establish eligibility rules in Workday. You will also assist with employee communications related to benefits and ensure compliance with the Affordable Care Act through reporting. This internship will also provide opportunities for running reports, conducting audits, performing data analysis, and managing relationships with vendors. You will also receive exposure to our compensation software and Workday. In addition, there will be opportunities to interact with other areas of the Human Resources team and learn more about those functions.

Meeting the following qualifications to be considered for our 2025 internship program: 

Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor degree Incoming Junior or Senior status as of May 2025 (Minimum of 56 credit hours) Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higherMust be authorized to work in the US.
