Total Rewards Specialist

Job Summary

The Total Rewards Specialist is responsible for administrative expertise, execution, and maintenance of the company’s Total Rewards programs. Total Rewards include the policies, practices, and programs related to compensation, benefits, recognition, wellbeing, and HRIS technology. This role is engaged in both strategic initiatives and transactional work. Interfaces with third party vendors, providers, and the workforce. The Total Rewards Specialist collaborates closely with the HR Team to ensure our employee value proposition and cultural values are forefront in how we position DuraServ Total Rewards as the best in the dock and door industry.

 

Essential Functions

Maintain, update, and administer structured Total Reward programs ensuring compliance with company HR standard of operations; plan documents; governmental regulations and laws. The scope includes compensation, benefits, recognition, and retirement programs. Responsibility ranges from transactional activities to strategic implementation.Is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support HRIS-related activities such as maintaining data integrity, troubleshooting issues, report generation, and assisting with system updates related to Total Rewards.Responsible for the Job Description Catalog including the creation and updating of Job Descriptions from paper to paperless solutions. Ensure job descriptions are current and accurate in order to market price job roles effectively. Maintains technology solutions related to job description management.Responsible for managing the Benefits and Compensation email and internal communication channels. Ensure the communication is accurate, refreshed, and meets the company’s communications standards.Responsible for the execution and maintenance of recognition award program(s).Responsible for the execution and maintenance of well-being programs and initiatives.Responsible for Absence Management with the workforce, Management, and the vendor.Responsible for the 401k Plan compliance administration at the direction of Management.Participate in and lead education or information sessions related to Total Rewards programs with the workforce including acquisition integration plans.Partners with the Human Resources Team on special assignments and projects.Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Travel 

This job requires no planned business travel.

Education and Experience 

High School graduation or equivalent is required. Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred. Combined experience in this type of job role of a minimum of five (5) or more years’ experience with education is desirable.Must have experience in HR Information Systems including the scope of employee set-up and file maintenance; system configuration; data reporting; dashboard analytics.Must have experience in Total Rewards administration related to compensation, benefits, rewards and recognition, and 401k plan compliance.
