The Total Rewards Specialist will have primary responsibility to administer assigned Total Rewards programs including but not limited to health and welfare benefits, retirement, leave administration, and compensation programs.

Overall Responsibilities
Keeps abreast of federal, state local laws and regulations aligning to corporate guidelines ensuring plan or policy complianceBe an industry subject matter expert and professional practitioner on compensation and benefit developments & trends, to ensure that solutions are progressive, compliant, and add value to the employee life cycleAdminister participation in benchmark surveys to align programs appropriately to recruit and retain employeesSupport the strategy, design, and delivery of communications for all total rewards programsCreates and presents communication materials, such as presentations and information packages, to keep employees updated on plan changes and amendmentsRespond to and support employee inquiries on areas of expertise.Benefits
Ensure compliance of benefits programs, utilizing knowledge of benefits legislation (ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, PPACA, ADA, etc.) by staying up to date on rules and regulations impacting benefits programs including required notices and plan documentsAdminister benefits processing and resolution, including, but not limited to, enrollments, terminations, claims processing, COBRA, FMLA, Disability, 403(b)Demonstrates timely, caring, and thorough responses and follow up to employees regarding benefit concernsProcesses inbound and/or outbound carrier files, ensuring files are properly and timely loaded into internal and/or external vendor’s systemsAssist in the planning and execution of the annual open enrollment process including communications, system set up, and employee education. Gather employee data, process monthly billing, and prepare invoices, submit check requests for payment, and audit carrier files to the internal enrollment system.ACA administration to include the annual and monthly review of ACA eligibilityCompensation
Participates in market surveys and prepares compensation data submissions on behalf of companyAdminister and update pay in HRIS system ensuring adherence to policy and accurate implementation of compensation changesEnsure accuracy of job codes in the HRIS system to include maintenance of position titles, aligned job codes, job profiles, grade level, incentive plans and exemption classification statusPrepares and maintains job descriptions through gathering and documenting duties, organizational structure, skills requirements, and FLSA classificationBenchmark roles internally and externally to determine compensation gradeAudit, analyze and improve upon current compensation practicesAnalyze, review with leadership, calculate, and communicate the annual merit increases and market adjustmentsCreate and distribute the Total Rewards Statement on an annual basisLeave of Absence
Administers, processes, and maintains the leave information in accordance with the Federal FMLA, state/local leave laws, and company leave policiesEnsure all leave transactions are processed accurately and timely, including reporting hours each pay period, tracking leave time, and notifying employees of expirations and need for recertification.Ensures adherence of benefits policies related to short and long-term leave, time off. Ensures proper documentation related to LOA is received, recorded, and communicated to employees and managementMaintain reasonable communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return to work; keep managers up to date about employee leaves, changes, and work restrictionsEnsure and provide consultation on compliance to managers and HR business partners on leave-related issues (FMLA, ADA, MPMLA, etc.).
