Role Objective:
As the Tour Settlements Officer, you will play a crucial role within our dynamic Finance team, ensuring the smooth financial operations of concerts and tours across Australia and New Zealand. You will work closely with Tour Directors and Promoters to manage invoices, financial documentation, and settlement procedures while ensuring compliance with internal approval limits. Your keen eye for detail and strong collaboration skills will help streamline processes and maintain accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Coding & Cash Receipting: Accurately code GL accounts and receipt cash from venue settlements.Invoice Processing: Ensure all event-related invoices receive operational approval within defined limits.Document Management: Maintain accurate records by saving all invoices in tour folders for future reference.Journal Entries: Load tour-related journals into Oracle for accurate financial reporting.Audit Compliance: Prepare end-of-tour audit checklists to ensure all key financial documentation is on file.Royalty Submissions: Prepare APRA/PPCA submissions for Tour Director approval.Cash Float Coordination: Liaise with banks to arrange cash floats as requested by Tour Directors.Process Improvement: Continuously review settlement processes to identify efficiencies and implement improvements.Ad hoc Duties: Support the finance team with additional tasks as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player.Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Ability to manage high volumes of work while maintaining quality and accuracy.Previous experience in an accounting or finance-related function.A proactive mindset with a willingness to drive process improvements.
