Tower Technician II

Position Details

Tilson is looking to add a Tower Technician II to our wireless construction crews. Technically inclined individuals with previous climbing experience encourage to apply. Travel throughout assigned market required.

Responsibilities: 

Responsible for complete troubleshooting and repairs for tower wireless sites across the assigned territory. Will complete scopes of work assigned by the National Maintenance Manager, ensuring quality, timelines and safety. On site responsibilities include:GroundingInstallation of antennasAntenna mounts, microwaves, coax lines, TMA's, RF jumpers, remote electrical down-tilts / Bias-T's, remote radio headsFiber/DC Hybrid cablesSweep and PIM testingSite audits and maintenance tasksTroubleshooting, repairs and maintenance
 Responsible for ensuring safe work conditions and adhering to Tilson safety programs.

Qualifications:

Previous training and/or 36 months experience climbing telecommunications towers preferred, transferable military jobs (radioman, comm techs, field radio personnel) strongly encouraged to apply.Familiarity with all major carriers (VZW, Sprint, T-Mobile, Ericson and AT&T)Excellent safety recordAble to climb up to 200+ feet into the air on telecommunications antennasValid driver’s licenseAble to work in varying weather conditions

Must be at least 21 years of age to meet Tilson’s driving eligibility requirements.

Tilson leads with integrity around pay transparency; as part of the compensation plan for this position you can expect a pay range of:

$22.00 - $28.00
