TPM Coordinator

SUMMARY

This position reports to the Site Leader and works in partnership with the TPM Steering Team and Pillar Leaders to implement TPM and Lead the FI Pillar. The position is responsible for driving Manufacturing Excellence through TPM as evidenced by elimination and reduction of losses in each pillar. This is accomplished by generating a high level of employee engagement, promoting effective communication and utilizing various FI problem solving tools.

Year-over-year improvement in TPM Assessment score Reduction and/or elimination of losses AM Pillar progress across the site Individual TPM Pillar execution and progression JIPM Certifications

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Lead TPM initiatives to align TPM Pillars with the plant’s mission of zero losses

Active participant in safety practices at the plant. Train, coach, and develop all levels of leadership and teams on TPM and FI tools. Communicates and collaborates with all Pillar Leaders on the conduct of the TPM deployment and assessment. Become the Site TPM SME. Conduct at least one site TPM Assessment of each Pillar per year. Support and Facilitate the Minneapolis TPM Steering Team meetings, including agenda and schedule. Organizes and supports TPM teams to accomplish goals and TPM Initiatives. Lead the FI Pillar team as the FI Pillar Leader driving FI efforts throughout the Minneapolis Site. Facilitate problem solving methods in each of the TPM Pillars as the process expert for FI. Represent the Minneapolis plant on the monthly TPM operating rhythm calls. Support Division Related TPM Trainings. Audit AM Activity Teams on AM Process Steps 0-2 (Regional Support needed for Steps 3-4). Partner with the T&D training team to create and deliver knowledge-based training on TPM. Local TPM Bootcamps AM Steps 0-4 TPM Pillar Support

 

 

 

 

Display effective leadership competencies and continued efforts in self-development.

Plan, organize, and coordinate multiple meetings, events, and improvement activities at the same time. Give regular feedback to employees and the leadership team on the progress of TPM  activities and events. Able to perform and coordinate administrative tasks relative to any TPM and FI initiatives. Participate in various training seminars and conferences. Lead by example in all safety initiatives. Perform other related duties consistent with the nature of the job, as instructed by Site Leader

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Able to travel occasionally to support division TPM. Maintains a strong commitment on quality always. Strong leadership skills. Ability to lead and drive teams to perform at an optimum level. Basic understanding of the process equipment used in the facility. Work well in both a team environment and independently. Possess effective communication and organizational skills. Understand verbal and written instructions. Ability to do basic math. Able to read, write, and speak English.

 

COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES

Operate a computer and other keyboard instruments. Become proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and other job-related software,

such as SAP, POP, AspenTech, PowerBI, EASE.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent 2+ years related experience and/or training in an industrial environment,

preferably in roofing manufacturing is preferred

2-year degree or higher is preferred

 

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Ability to routinely lift up to 80 lbs. with assistance.. Work for up to 12 hours in extreme hot/cold manufacturing environment. Operate/sit/drive, as required during shift work lasting 12 hours. Routinely ascend and descend stairs and forklift to enter work areas. Safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – steel toed

shoes, ear plugs, eye protection (glasses, goggles, and/or facemask) as

necessary for task

Schedule flexibility as needed.
