The position is responsible for all machine maintenance, including preventative maintenance, tier 1 repair of production equipment, utilities, and facilities including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic trouble-shooting and repair. This position requires a strong manufacturing background with demonstrated mechanical aptitude and process troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities
The TPM Mechanic is responsible for executing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, supporting equipment reliability improvements, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives. This role ensures that equipment runs at optimal performance levels, reduces unplanned downtime, and contributes to safety and production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on plant equipment and machineryConduct inspections and condition monitoring (vibration analysis, lubrication checks, visual inspections)Identify and report equipment abnormalities and assist in troubleshootingSupport Autonomous Maintenance activities alongside production teamsComplete work orders in the CMMS system accurately and timelyAssist in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for equipment failuresParticipate in TPM pillar activities (Planned Maintenance, Autonomous Maintenance, Focused Improvement)Follow all safety policies and contribute to a safe working environmentAssist in maintaining 5S standards in maintenance and production areasParticipate in continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferredMinimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or TPM rolesSolid understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsAbility to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manualsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExperience using CMMS systemsBasic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
