Role Overview: Are you passionate about both technology and motorsports? PDS Tech is seeking a Trackside IT/Networking Engineer to join our team in Brownsburg, IN. As a key member of our traveling Trackside Support Group, you’ll be on the frontlines, maintaining and troubleshooting critical IT systems during race and test events. This dynamic role allows you to combine your technical expertise with your passion for high-paced environments, ensuring that race teams and engineers have the network reliability they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

Trackside Network Support: Maintain and troubleshoot the trackside network, including LAN, WAN, and WLAN connections, ensuring seamless communication and data transfer.

Windows-based Services: Support and administer essential services such as Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP at trackside.

Hardware & Software Support: Support and maintain specialized hardware and software at both trackside and on-site locations, ensuring reliable operations.

Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues quickly using monitoring and diagnostic tools to ensure minimal disruption.

IT Setup and Teardown: Manage the setup, monitoring, and teardown of IT systems during race events, ensuring they are operational and efficient.

Inventory Management: Maintain and track inventory for trackside IT assets, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, network gear, and radio equipment.

Data Synchronization: Support data synchronization between various local systems, ensuring smooth, real-time data transfer.

Collaboration with Factory Network Administrators: Work closely with network and systems administrators to ensure robust, trackside systems that meet the demands of the event.

Innovation & Improvement: Investigate and implement new technologies to enhance trackside data collection, storage, and synchronization.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in network administration or IT support, ideally in a high-paced environment or motorsports sector.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in networking, including experience with Cisco, NetApp, and CradlePoint systems. Experience in Edge computing and hardware configuration.

Software Skills: Competence with the Microsoft ecosystem (Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and experience with Microsoft Azure.

Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, Matlab, and C# (preferred).

Motorsport Knowledge (Bonus): Familiarity with car data systems such as PI, McLaren, or Bosch is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent computing skills, especially in the Microsoft suite.

Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while remaining organized and focused under pressure.

Willingness to travel frequently to race events and test locations.

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
