Summary This position is located at the Golf Course at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Responsibilities Works under general supervision of the supervisor or foreman who provides instructions on the depth to be plowed, or spacing between furrows, and, on the materials to be used, such as type of fertilizer or seed to dispense. Incumbent operates a field-type tractor with attached and towed equipment. Plans the order in which work is to be accomplished; transports materials and equipment; and digs, loads, plants, clears, mows and dispenses liquid and solid materials. Makes multiple connections between the tractor and attached or towed equipment. . Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Applicant must have one year related experience in operating and performing minor maintenance on a field-type tractor and associated equipment. Applicants must have and retain valid driver's license. May be required to obtain a Government motor vehicle operator's permit. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
