Trade and Business Development Manager

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for managing Abbott Rapid Diagnostics portfolio, achieving sales targets and growing the business. He / She must possess and apply detailed and technical product knowledge as well as thorough knowledge of client's business to introduce new products/services to clients and generate repeat sales of existing products. He / She is responsible for the local brand development within specific consumer channels. He/She must be able to capitalize on new business opportunities. This role is instrumental in expanding the business, acting as a driving force in advancing the company's presence in the retail segment.         

Sensitive/ confidential data handled: Territory information, Sales data, Business plan and activity planning, Product launch plan, customer inventory reports, forecasts, business contracts.

Key Areas of Accountability:

1.    Identify opportunities for growth, develop winning business cases including product positioning
2.    Coordinate stakeholder and market needs to define, plan, and implement product launch and marketing strategies to end user and retail partners.
3.    Develop, execute and monitor plans to meet established sales goals and objectives while utilizing the budget effectively    
4.    Design and implement innovative strategies to significantly expand business reach and revenue
5.    Lead negotiations with clients, partners, and stakeholders, securing agreements that align strategically with the company’s goals.
6.    Establish, develop and expand the customer base who can benefit from Abbott product portfolio in the retail market including e-commerce  
7.    Manage all aspects of the pre and post-launch product life cycle, including monitoring and reporting on the in-market activity, responding with tactical development and marketing activities to ensure continued profitability and growth
8.    Develop and implement marketing communication and activities (Above the Line, Below the Line and digital) with the objective of increasing channel contribution to overall business.
9.    Assist marketing and sales management in the development and implementation of new sales strategies, and tools for new market opportunities 
10.    Monitor performance against objectives and perform analysis on channel opportunities to develop customer and product forecasts
11.    Monitor market, customer and competitor trends and advise management on methods to improve company competitiveness.
12.    Provide technical expertise in all products.

Knowledge & Experience:

1. Ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities

4. Can handle multi tasks like territory sales management, technical support and multiple product promotion.

5. Must have an excellent time management skills.

4.    Strong skills in market analysis and business strategy.

Minimum Qualification:

1.    Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in paramedical courses or equivalent.
2.    3-4 year experience in upstream and downstream, full product lifecycle of OTC drugs or Rx pharmaceuticals
3.    Pleasing personality with good interpersonal skills and service-minded.
4.    Aggressive, willing to take on stretch targets
5.    Proven excellence in both written and oral communication in Filipino and English
6.    Knowledge in Diagnostic machines/equipment set up and/or maintenance will be an advantage.
