Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to lead continuous improvements in Trade and Transportation function as well as management of Key Performance Indicators to improve performance. Each day, you will be responsible for managing local trade and transportation operations, including internal teams and external providers. You will also showcase your expertise by overseeing import/export administrative activities and ensuring compliance with ABB rules and external regulations in collaboration with local and country Trade Compliance Officers.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification business Distribution Solution division at Bangalore, India.You will be mainly accountable for:• Designing and implementing strategies to optimize trade and transportation operations, considering factors such as cost, efficiency, and compliance to increase efficiency.• Overseeing the end-to-end logistics process, including transportation, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and warehousing, to streamline end-to-end processes in collaboration with the other areas of operations.• Evaluating the selected transportation and logistics service providers, negotiating contracts, and establishing performance metrics to ensure high-quality service and cost-effectiveness.• Managing the development and implementation of improved processes and systems and master data.Our team dynamicsYou will join a high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the roleYou are immersed in operations function in switchgear industry You have 15 to 20 years of experience in Trade Compliance, Certifications, Customs Clearance, Customs Law, Rules and Regulations of Customs, Import and Export Regulations You have hands on experience in Transport and Logistics, Freight Forwarders, Inco Terms, Local requirements for material to ABB and dispatching materials to customers or vendors. Bachelors degree in any specialization & MBA in Operations / Logistics / SCM You are at ease communicating in English
