Your role and responsibilities

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESCORE RESPONSIBILITIES•\tMonitors daily import/export shipments and ensures smooth customs clearance via the appointed customs brokers.•\tActs as point of contact for customs brokers in case of clarification needs (e.g., regarding valuation or classification of products).•\tUnderstands and applies relevant customs procedures and ensures the relevant declarations are correctly made.•\tAudits customs brokers regarding the correctness of customs entries, invoicing, and archiving.•\tEnsures all customs-related records are maintained and archived correctly.•\tProvides reporting as required on day-to-day activities.•\tManages the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities.•\tMaintains and shares with colleagues, as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions in close cooperation with local and country Trade Compliance Officers.•\tCommunicates with export- and import-related authorities and suppliers, as necessary, to ensure efficient execution.•\tMaintains relevant data in the local trade and customs applications (e.g., SAP Global Trade Services).•\tFacilitates continuous review and improvement in the operational transport and trade/customs activities.•\tSupervises customs broker’s daily performance and cost, taking action to ensure compliance with associated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).•\tSupports the development and implementation of improved processes and systems and maintains master data.
