The Role

As a Trade Assistant, Production, your primary objective is to ensure that the production maintenance, quality and safety objectives are met.

 

In this role, you will ensure all work carried out is compliant with Volvo and Mack standards and support and provide exceptional customer service to all Wacol Plant stakeholders.

 

At all times safety is a priority.

 

This is a full time permanent opportunity.

About You

You have worked as a trade assistance for more than 2 years (preferably manufacturing), take pride in completing your allocated tasks on time and to the highest standards, adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and promptly report deviations and machine down time.

 

You are familiar with 5S methodology including tagging servicing machinery and you wear all PPE specific for the tasks you undertake.

 

Machinery you have used includes:

Ride-on floor sweeper CNC Swarf bin High-pressure washer Karcher unit Site waste compactor Plasma tipper bin Wash bay floor scrubber

 

You have competency to use specialized tooling when required including:

Hand tools Grinders Drill press Hydraulic equipment Band saw Guillotine Measuring tools Belt sander Hydraulic press Safety tools and equipment Your Qualifications | Licences

You hold current: 

1. LF and LO forklift licence

2. confined space licence; and

3. scissor lift ticket.
