Role Responsibility
As a member of our settlements team you will be responsible for confirming, researching, and resolving all global failed trades with brokers and custodians across all products and sectors, handling claims processing and providing management reporting. You will facilitate the day to day management of dealer and custody relationships while fostering globally consistent fail reporting and processing and improving operational controls and reporting. You are expected to service internal and external constituents re-affirming expectations and delivering best-in-class client service while continually eliminating risk. Additional responsibilities include:
Collaborating with Trade Operations and Portfolio Management to resolve exceptions
Processing claims to banks and dealers based on information received through trade resolution
Partnering with BlackRock securities lending to ensure there is no exposure to loan encumbered positions.
Sustaining an awareness of industry changes and their relation to the settlements process
To ensure success, you will have the following qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Finance or similar concentration required
Understanding of financial markets and related instruments
Working knowledge and understanding of settlements and claims
Proven regulatory background and strong risk awareness
Engaging teammate with excellent attention to detail, problem solving/analytical abilities, research skills and willingness to learn.
Stellar communication skills
PC proficient with experience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and various Investment Management and settlement platforms.
Lastly, your professional experience (3+ years) coupled with your strong operational background and the ability to multitask will provide continued success. Using your solid understanding of the settlement and claims process and your confirmed leadership abilities will get you noticed.
